Training Minds LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of New Jersey. Our contact address is [email protected].

2. What data we collect — and what we do not

We collect nothing. The app does not:

• Create user accounts or require registration of any kind
• Transmit any information to Training Minds servers
• Use analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar)
• Use advertising SDKs or display ads of any kind
• Track your location
• Collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or usage telemetry
• Share any information with third parties

3. What data stays on your device

The app stores the following data locally — in your device's browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) — and nowhere else:

• Child profile: the child's first name, age in months, and UI preferences (theme, language, lesson speed)
• Progress data: per-lesson mastery history and accuracy statistics
• Familiar Faces photos: photos you choose to add via the Familiar Faces feature, either by capturing a new photo or selecting an existing one from your photo library; stored in IndexedDB, never transmitted
• Name recordings: optional short audio clips of family members' names recorded by a parent during Familiar Faces setup; stored in IndexedDB, never transmitted
• Calibration videos: short video clips recorded during Screen Calibration activities (Live Mirror dance recordings, rear-camera clips of your child, and parent-filmed object clips for the Favorite Things feature); stored in IndexedDB, never transmitted
• Calibration settings: screen calibration measurements and preferences from initial device setup

None of this data leaves your device under any circumstances, including normal app use, background activity, or app updates.

4. Backup and device transfer

The app offers a device transfer feature. When you use it:

• A compressed, encrypted backup of your local data is generated entirely on your device
• You may choose to save this backup as a file or generate a short transfer code
• Transfer codes are routed through a temporary relay operated by Training Minds; the relay holds the payload for less than 10 minutes and is discarded immediately upon pickup or expiration
• The relay has no knowledge of the content — data is encrypted before it leaves your device
• Training Minds does not retain any backup files or transfer payloads

5. Camera and microphone

Several features use your device's camera or microphone. The table below details each feature, what the camera or microphone is used for, and whether any media is stored.

On-device processing: Face Detection and Big and Small use Google's MediaPipe library to detect facial landmarks and hand landmarks respectively. All processing occurs entirely on the device. No images, video frames, or detection results are transmitted to any server.

Camera and microphone permissions are requested only when you navigate to a feature that requires them. Declining has no effect on other parts of the app.

6. Children's privacy (COPPA)

Training Minds: Toddler Edition is designed for children under 13. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and with applicable state children's privacy laws.

Because we collect no information from any user — child or adult — our COPPA compliance is structural. There is no personal information to collect, share, or delete. No verifiable parental consent is required because we collect nothing.

7. Third-party services

The app is delivered as a Progressive Web App (PWA). Hosting is provided by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log standard HTTP access logs (IP address, URL, timestamp) as part of ordinary web infrastructure operation. These logs are governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and are not accessible to Training Minds LLC for the purpose of identifying individual users.

The app itself contains no third-party SDKs, no external scripts, and makes no outbound network requests after the initial page load (other than loading cached audio and image assets from Cloudflare's CDN).

8. Audio content

Professional voice recordings used in the app are produced by ElevenLabs and served as pre-generated audio files. The app plays these files locally; no audio is streamed in real time during use. No speech recognition or voice processing is performed on user audio.

9. Your rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:

• Access: all data is readable in the app's Settings → App → Data section
• Export: use the backup feature to export all data as a file
• Delete: use Settings → Reset Everything to erase all app data from your device, or clear site data in your browser settings
• Portability: backup files are in standard formats and can be inspected

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here with a revised effective date. Because we collect no contact information, we cannot notify you by email; we recommend bookmarking this page. Material changes will also be noted in the app itself.
